Obituary

George Douglas “Doug” Idlett

Died August 6, 2008

George Douglas “Doug” Idlett, age 89, died on June 19, 2008 at his daughter’s home in Herndon, Va.

Doug was a World War II Japan POW and a Bataan Death March survivor.

Doug was the beloved husband of the late Ellen Geraldine Idlett, father of George Douglas Idlett, Jr. and Deborah Ellen Idlett, grandfather of Kaleigh Sarah Ellen Showers.

The family will receive friends at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, on Sunday, August 10th from 5-8pm. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Monday, August 11th at 11am at Arlington National Cemetery.
