This time last year, Fairfax County Public Schools was still about 50 or so drivers short of the number needed to drive its school buses for the upcoming year. Thomas Jefferson student joins whale research team

This summer, Arman Carter, a rising junior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, will join an Earthwatch Institute expedition, studying food availability and feeding habits of gray whales off the coast of British Columbia in Canada.
